Kristina Mkhitaryan debuts as Mimi in La Bohème at the Metropolitan Opera

Tonight sees Kristina Mkhitaryan take the stage at the Metropolitan Opera singing her first Mimì in La Bohème.

Her debut as Mimì follows a performance in La Bohème at the Met last season as Musetta. She returns to New York next season singing Micaëla in Carmen, which she sang this past summer at the Arena di Verona.

Other highlights for Kristina this season have included a return to the role of Tatiana in Eugene Onegin at the Royal Opera House in a new production by Ted Huffman, as well as at the Teatro Real Madrid. She also sings the title roles in both Manon at the Wiener Staatsoper and Maria Padilla in a concert performance at the Teatro de la Maestranza.
